Quote from: TAC on December 15, 2023, 08:04:06 PMI listened to the first few tracks. It sounds awesome. I really don't know the songs, and the vocals are still rough, but these live vocals are more digestible than the studio albums. Because of the vocals, I don't think I could get through the entire thing in one go, but I enjoyed what I heard.Alexi really had a 'no fucks given' approach to his vocals. They were one of the very first (if not the first) band I discovered with growls that I took to, so I'm probably biased there but he was just such an interesting individual. Even coming up with lyrics in the process of recording backs up that 'no fucks given' approach. If you liked the first few songs, there's more classic stuff as you go along so well worth listening to the full thing when you have time.

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now?
Zydar is my new hero. I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.
The Edge of Forever always stood out to me as one of the best SX songs.

I still will though.

That said, all of their albums are great but the new as a starting point sets the bar high.

I'm curious what Kade thinks of Ghost Ship as that was released 6 years ago.
Now what cracks me up is that supposedly this band is from Chile, and is made up of two guys.Pancho Ireland and Cederick Forsberg. WTF?

Therion - Leviathan I, II and IIIIt seems Rate Your Music doesn’t allow posting cover arts anymore.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.
Temple of Angels - Endless PursuitReleased earlier this year, I came across it a couple of days ago as I was perusing some end-of-year lists online. I've seen it described as dreampop, but more rocking and I don't disagree. Think a mixture of Cocteau Twins, Wish-era The Cure and maybe some All About Eve? It has that real nice, soothing guitar work typical of the genre, and just the right amount of goth-y melancholy. Very good lead female vocals too. I can see some DTFers potentially enjoying this (Litho?). Not something I'd want to listen to all the time, but I was in the mood for it now...
Congrats Lizzo!
Litho ... The North American Evermind!
Litho is like the Stadler on the Music side.
NMB- Innocence & Danger.Jonas Lindberg- Miles From Nowhere.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".
Remember the mark of a great vocalist is if TAC hates them with a special passion
Dreamscape- Trance-Like State.( This is album I was listening to on the way to the Hospital at 2am on October 8, 1998 when my wife went into labor with our first son)

Guess I need to give this one a go.
