It seems part of a trend this year of bands that I liked their previous work for that reason, but their releases this year just seemed lukewarm.  Ad Infinitum, Phantom Elite, and Blackbriar in particular.  But maybe additional plays at some point will bring more out of them.

Don't start with Blomljud.  It's glorious, but it's a LOT.

Jump into the shallow end of the pool.  Lovers End is a good choice.
