What album are you listening to v.8

First Breath is before Everblack.  A bit less polished, but that might not bother you.  Great songs anyway.  Architect of Dreams is more streamlined, but still pretty great with most of the classic lineup.  After that they lose half the band and while still quite good, don't have quite the same spark anymore. 

I agree on The Spell being superior. 

Ranking Opeth albums is a perpetual nightmare for me.  I saw that video pop up in my feed some time ago, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

I'll check these out...

and, yep, the Wheel of Prog video on Opeth was quite entertaining...I saw there are others, for Rush, DT and Porcupine Tree...

Real nice to have (most of) Katatonia's b-sides in one place. I already had a few scattered here and there, but this is a nice package. Revisited it today, inspired by The Fall of Hearts' writeups from Lethean and Litho and the mention of the bonus tracks there.

Any fans of Pharaoh here? I enjoy all they have done, and this might be my favorite of their albums.

Huh....I don't remember that one being anywhere near as classic as the old ones.  Will have to revisit.

Prepare yourself, it’s really bad, and in some ways feels more dated than the 80s videos.
