Can’t stop spinning this. I loved it when they first released it on Pillar, I love it now it’s on streaming services. This is the definitive version of Act I for me now. Casey sounds great and think the whole band just did a great job. I’m not sure how much post production work went into this, and how ‘live’ it is (anyone know?), but everyone needs to hear it, Dear Hunter fan or not.

What with the reissue of Migrant coming out soon as well I can feel a Dear Hunter kick coming on.

Second listen in and I’m liking this album a lot. If you enjoy beautiful metal music, I recommend this one. I would qualify them as shoegaze although they don’t use this tag.

Artist: Deadly carnage
Album: Endless blue

Blind_Faith, have you listened to Air by Astronoid? I posted it the other week, they are very similar in sound to this. They have that blackgaze sound with more ethereal vocals. This album is really cool so far and definitely scratches the Astronoid itch. I’ve not been too big a fan of their last two albums, and to be honest, this already sounds better. Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've never heard of them, but I'll check that this week  :tup

really liking it on second listen. it feels a bit all over the place and scattered but i think the way it kind of ebbs and flows between the confessional songs and the noisey ones works well after spinning it a few times.

currently spinning 100 gecs - 10,000 gecs

Kade, it doesn't get much better than those 2. I love Fatal Portrait and Conspiracy but these two are classics.

I never rated Them anywhere nearly as high as Abigail.  I'd take Conspiracy and The Eye over it.  I'd take a lot of the later albums over it too but that's another story again.  Fatal Portrait is underrated.

I love FP. I met them on that tour, I have Polaroids I need to post. Everything after Conspiracy bored me until I revisited Spider's Lullaby, Puppet Master and House Of God and they hit me! I love everything King.

Abigail was my first King Diamond, and easily my fave. Them is top 5 but I think I prefer Conspiracy (I always liked At the Graves). I only heard The Spider’s Lullaby for the first time recently and thought it was great, some killer riffs. I have a real soft spot for The Puppet Master, as it features my favourite KD song, Magic. Not sure why I love that song so much, or how it ended up on my MP3 player years ago, but I love it.

Glasser, get those pics up!

I'm so fucking pissed! I have a photo album with all my old pics and it may have gotten tossed in a move. I met them at Mad Platters record store when Fatal Portrait came out. I'm hoping I can find it. I did find some pics from Prog Power ( I think 2004) with me and Pain of Salvation, Dreamscape and Michael from Circus Maximus.

This album man, it still gets better with every listen.

I thought I’d post the full album art this time, as it deserves to be gazed upon. I can’t imagine a time in my life where Coheed won’t be my favourite band, they are just too good. Josh’s drumming still gets me beyond pumped.

Me and Michael from Circus Maximus.

After Breakfast with Pain of Salvation.

Dreamscape, they all stayed at my house for a few days before flying to Prog Power. I don't have pics from my house but the band took video.

Stone - Baroness

Gets better with every listen. Don't think this gonna beat my favorite (Purple) but it's solid.

And since we're sharing pics with band members, here's me with John Baizley from Baroness in 2019.

Gandalf’s Fist - The Clockwork Fable

Anyone heard this? I got the recommendation from r/progmetal, when someone mentioned it was basically The Astonishing if it was a good album :lol

It’s actually more like an Ayreon album (and even features Arjen on one of the songs). It’s a really long concept record, and we know that we all love those. Full disclosure though, it’s over 3 hours long!
