Just learned of this band and checking out their Bandcamp. Holy Moses! This lead singer is a freaking powerhouse. What a voice. Loving the music as well. I sense some purchases in my future.

First time listening to Brocas Helm :metal  Pestilence on the other hand, are fast becoming one of my all time favourite death metal bands.

@Glasser, not sure if Air by Astronoid will really be your thing, but give them a listen. They’ve been described as kinda dreamy blackgaze, but it doesn’t really do the album justice, you just need to hear it.

Air is a great album, and I agree it's pretty hard to describe. Dreamy music with blastbeats, I guess?  :biggrin:

Also good pick with that Destrage album. Kinda nuts but catchy at the same time.

Air is indeed great! Their self titled wasn't so great, but Radiant Bloom was a step in the right direction.

I keep forgetting to listen to these, I think it's because they're mostly just fine so far. I'm enjoying these records but I'm not loving any of them yet. I think I even listened to this one before but can't recall a single thing from it :lol

Gave this a listen earlier. Loved it. Parts of it felt like Jethro Tull meets 70’s Judas Priest.

Yeah this one was mid I'm afraid.




Now THIS is more like it. I had already listened to it but this was even better when revisiting it. Great record, very varied and fun. Easily my favorite so far.

I've always enjoyed this album, it does feel like a continuation and also an interesting take of what Talk Talk did on their last records.

In one fell swoop you broke my heart and redeemed yourself. Ice, Planets is anything but mid, wash your mouth out, but I can agree that Omnium Gatherum is the better album. I was only a casual fan until I heard OG. That was the album (and The Dripping Tap was the song) that turned me into a rabid fan. It’s good that you like it because it covers many of their signature sounds, so it may be easier to work out which albums you’ll love, moving forwards.
