Bastard Sons kick ass! Just fun, in your face rock n roll!

I've not really checked them out before, but I enjoyed this. Not reinventing the wheel or anything.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

That was pretty cool, didn't blow me away, but I definitely enjoyed it more than Petrodragonic.

Which one is Luke?
All of them, just takes turns every day to choose a different tee (not a suit sadly)

I think Changes is a cool album, but it doesn’t have any real standout songs. Change is the best of the bunch, and the whole thing is a nice listen, it just stays in a comfortable zone throughout.

That was neat, had some cool moments, but I felt it kinda didn't go anywhere, and that's fine.

helloween's "keeper of the seven keys: part II" is a classic that never gets old. the dueling guitars are hotter than a jalapeno eating contest, and the energy is off the charts. if this album were a car, it'd be a ferrari on the autobahn! 🚗💨

One of my all time favorite albums. Keeper Pt. 1 was musical life changing. Pt.2 might be better. Top 3 vocal performance on any album for me.

You're new here, but there is a Helloween Thread that was pretty active during their tour. Have you seen them?

Revisiting this album whilst ranking my ‘23 albums and it’s better than I recalled. I can hear a Devin Townsend influence, especially in songs like Spore.

Werewolves - My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me

Glasser! Do you know these guys? They are Australian and they play some absolutely manic (and I guess slightly demented) death metal

The drumming is pretty insane on this! Not sure I'll revisit, but it was fun nonetheless.

A cool recent release:

VAK - The Islands

They describe themselves as progressive sludge. I'd probably add "noisy", but it's a good description.  Difficult to define anyway, and maybe a bit different than what I normally go for, but it's quite intriguing.

Luke - have you heard them? I have a sense you might enjoy this (or I could be completely wrong  ;))

Also giving the new Soen more listens. It's growing a bit - as I said before, the talent is there as usual, but I still stand by my statement that a lot of it sounds like they are revisiting old ideas. It might be their best produced album, though.

So far it's a lovely album - I wasn't too keen on their previous record, but all of their releases have at least some amazing songs, and the live versions are outstanding.

Interesting. It's very mellow... one of the least rocking of their albums.

The Final Cut is probably the biggest grower for me. I'm not a fan of Rogers solo work and it's essentially a RW solo album. That said Gilmour brings enough PF sensibilities so it's still enjoyable.

The music in The Final Cut is not as fantastic or memorable as any of their previous albums, but the subject/concept is what keeps it together for me.
