How is it? Blind-bought it yesterday but haven’t listened to it yet.

Very, very enjoyable. Nothing shocking vs. the debut, style-wise, but it's not afraid to hit a little harder at times.

was sent a song off this album for a recent video and was curious to check out the whole thing and i'm glad i did 'cause most of the rest is even cooler/weird  :lol
like, uhh, what if you slammed piano jazz straight into glitch pop & breakcore? that's the album. it's fascinating
Neat, sounds cool, will give it a go.

I guess you're going chronologically now?  I'm definitely curious how the most recent two come across, they're quite different in various ways.

I know A Twist in the Myth is not the most beloved entry in Blind Guardian's discog but, while it's not top-tier BG material, I find it has more memorable songs/moments than, say, At the Edge of Time or Beyond the Red Mirror. Otherland and Fly are my favorite songs in there. Always an enjoyable listen.

And whenever I listen to Puzzle, I'm more and more convinced it's one of my favorite (pop?) rock albums this side of the year 2000. So, so good. From the Rush influence (the opener Living is a Problem Because Everything Dies), to simple-but-not-really songs (The Conversation is...), tasty proggy material (the instrumental section of Now I'm Everyone), cool interludes (the various 15ths), via marvelous radio-friendly songs (Love Has a Diameter, Folding Stars), this is a Biffy Clyro at their best (imo)

Also - what do the Renkse fans here on DTF think of the Wisdom of Crowds album? I enjoy it quite a bit. Interesting setting for his voice.

I haven't listened to this in a long time. The crowd noise is so damn fake and if I don't trust the "liveness" of the band, it's hard to get excited about this.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

These two are amazing albums. I agree with most of what you are saying about Puzzle. I listened to it loads back in like ‘09/10, but even though I don’t revisit much nowadays it’s still my favourite Biffy album. Autonoesis are obviously amazing and this album is a force to be reckoned with.

That Sevendust album, I don’t know it but Derek Hess really got a lot of mileage out of his work with metal bands :lol

I’m spinning my vinyl copy of the new Gizzy, which just arrived. Excited to hear the vinyl only bonus track  :corn

Armistice-This Forgotten Soul

This is a nice listen at only 31 minutes. Blackish Metal but with a strong goth influence. The last song, Falling Snow clocks in at 9+ minutes, but it's very cool.

Will have to check this out. Is that a cover of the Agalloch song?
Indeed it is. I'm trying to remember if anyone has sent Agalloch to Tim in his roulettes. It's possible I have.

Yeah, it was very disappointing when it came out, but I really enjoy it now. The title track is one of my favorite AC/DC tracks, especially from the Brian Era.
