Supertramp - Breakfast In America
A damn near perfect album there. :metal

Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

Yeah the first Machine Girl album rules, even if it's a bit too chaotic at times for me. The other album is just too much, except for the last song, which is amazing.

Come on, you listen to literal noise albums and can't handle this? :lol

It's about the pace, that album is just too fast and rarely has rests so it just loses me quickly :P WLFGRL is better balanced, even if it gets too intense near the end.

I’m not a huge fan of the album as a whole either, but that’s less to do with the intensity / pacing and more there just being too many songs that aren’t memorable or interesting enough. The next album has that same problem too, probably even more so, but the ten minute closer A Decent Man is definitely worth listening to.

Armistice-This Forgotten Soul

This is a nice listen at only 31 minutes. Blackish Metal but with a strong goth influence. The last song, Falling Snow clocks in at 9+ minutes, but it's very cool.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

George Clanton - Ooh Rap I Ya

Second listen, yeah I feel this is quite a grower and a slow burn for sure. But it's quite good, I'll keep coming back to it.

Will have to check this out. Is that a cover of the Agalloch song?

A couple of records from the 1981 thread:

Plus over the last couple of days:

Finally got around to watching some of the video content on the Seasons End's deluxe edition. Good stuff. And the recent live performance of the album is great too (including The Release!)

The Dymna Lotva album (bottom left) is quite interesting. A duo from Belarus (who have left the country) plus guest musicians, this is black metal with some intriguing moods and atmospheres. Very well produced too. It's not necessarily an easy listen - not the music per se (which is actually plenty melodic), but the vocals can be a bit much at times. They convey the grimness of the theme, I suppose (lyrics are in Belarusian, so I can't claim to understand them anyway  ;)), but I wish they went more with the cleans.

Too much, eh?  I get on my kicks ... ;D

Anyway, Kingdom of Desire almost sounds like a Steve Lukather solo album.
