Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Jack White - Boarding House Reach

Never checked it out back in the day due to the negative reaction it received, but gave it a try after seeing Fantano put it as one of the past decade's most underrated albums. Wtf this is really good so far, melon was right for once???

Mid-Air Thief - Crumbling

Tried revisiting it after a few years, and yeah, this is just mid.

If I had a nickel for every time melonhead was right... I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

This is just a single (a 16 minute long one, though), but it sounds awesome. :metal

Yup, can't stop listening to this one, it's so fucking great. Some of the best music I've come across in a long time.

Very thrashy, kind of punky. Vocals are harsh but this has a great sound and vibe.
It's a 6 song 17 minute EP and in this small dose it's pretty  :metal
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Viagra Boys - Wellfare Jazz

I don't understand the low scores for this record - it's their most experimental so far, and while not every song is a banger (though many slap hard), it's such a creative album. Plenty of sax too.

Not sure if this is an official EP or just that the band have released 3 new singles at once, alongside the one they released in April.

Better Lovers may be a terrible name for a band like this, but the music is kicking my ass. The band consists of former members of Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die and Fit for an Autopsy.
Specifically…

Jordan Buckley
Greg Puciato
Will Putney
Steve Micciche
Clayton Holyoak

The EP is called God Made Me an Animal.

I’m not necessarily a super fan of any of the bands these guys used to be in, but I dig Dillinger and think Puciato is a hell of a vocalist. I like pretty much every band he’s been a part of and he’s easily the member that sells this band for me.

Original single 30 Under 13 was already an instant hit back in April, and the other three songs here are equally as good after one listen. Sacrificial Participant was probably the weakest, but I know I’ll be spinning this a lot, so that’s bound to change. I need to do a bit of research to see if they are following this up with an actual album, because these 15 minutes are not enough.

For those of you who know what’s up, get on it.

I love Greg's The Black Queen project, such great synthpop stuff. No clue about this, will give it a try.

So I finally got around to listening to this:

I think I'm going to let this one go. The Rushisms are way too distracting. And throw mid to late 70's Ozzy vocals on top of the music, and it's just plain...weird.
