I'll recommend you check out the 2011 issue of the album (with the original drum and bass parts restored) This also applies to the 2011 edition of The Blizzard Of Ozz btw.

Can't say I paid a ton of attention to this when it came out. I bought it, saw the tour, but I was in a metal zone at the time. I must say, that this album has aged reasonably well.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I'm not normally that into live albums, but World Wide Live is a great one.

World Wide Live sounds so doctored, it's unlistenable to me.

Maybe this is why I like it.   :lol   The raw and loose sound of some live albums doesn't usually appeal to me.

World Wide Live has a great song selection but yeah, I remember its sound being very...light? Not sure now, I haven't listened to it in a long time. But I'll say I'll take Tokyo Tapes any day over that one (Not being the "old stuff is better" guy here  :) I just think Tokyo Tapes is fantastic live album, period)

That's one's cool as well, but it's Uli and before a bunch of songs I like of theirs.  It doesn't even have "Sails of Charon", my favorite early song of theirs.  But overall something about Jabs' playing just works better for me in that style.

Yes, Sails of Charon is fantastic!

I don't disagree that there was a ton of great material that came after that live...in fact, I think my Scorps' "sweet spot" is with the Lovedrive and Blackout albums...

All their stuff in that era is great, but I'm probably partial to Love At First Sting.  "Coming Home" is one of my favorites of theirs, the full version of "Still Loving You" is a fantastic ballad, "Rock You Like a Hurricane" is a top-tier classic rock staple, etc.

Early 80's Scorps is great. I've always thought Animal Magnetism sucked, but the run from Lovedrive through LAFS otherwise is great.

I saw the LAFS tour (with Bon Jovi opening).
Here's the Montreal show..

I had Tokyo Tapes as a kid, and the Uli Era has some great tunes, but it's a completely different band, really. Matthias Jabs is severely underrated. He has that wonderful German tone (Schenker/Hoffman).

I still love Love At First Sting. I remember the premiere of Rock You Like A Hurricane when my local radio station debuted it. I remember sitting there thinking how much I thought it blew. The sexual lyrics and chorus were/are brutal, but the solo was/is amazing.

I finished up my sophomore year of HS in 1984 and I was a huge Scorps fan at the time.

A Pelagic Records release that kicks ass, I am not shocked.

I was at the Worcester show. (Scorps & Bon Jovi)  Bought tees from both bands.

Easily one of the best albums in the last 5 years. I love the whole aesthetic and direction the band went. It's everything.
