Very good but honestly out of the Delain albums I’ve listened to (this, The Human Contradiction and the new one), the new one is my favorite. Maybe I’m biased because I own it and it was the first I listened to. Also I think I prefer the new singer's voice.

I have that Dimmu Borgir on CD.  The only album of theirs I own actually.  Such an interesting record.

Oh man, you need to check out Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia! Death Cult Armageddon is pretty good as well.

For All Tid is very good, but my vote (maybe obvious?) goes to Enthrone Darkness Triumphant. That's their best, imo.

For All Tid is very good, but my vote (maybe obvious?) goes to Enthrone Darkness Triumphant. That's their best, imo.

Yea, that's probably my third or fourth favourite. This was actually my first time listening to For All Tid. Dimmu are one of MANY bands, whose whole catalogue I'm unfamiliar with. I've got a playlist of all these sorts of albums by these bands, that I'm working my way through (that was also why I was spinning the Corrosion of Conformity). Expect more Dimmu Borgir coming soon!

By the way, that Urne album is VERY good. A bit of "post metal", a bit of thrash, all in an appropriately melancholic package. I don't always love the more shouted hardcore-style vocals, but overall it's a very cool record

You should definitely check our Enthrone...it's the next one anyway  I've lost track of Dimmu Borgir more recently, but that album is good stuff. More polished than the first two, but still retaining a certain blackened edge.

Yea, I was kinda distracted whilst listening but it was good enough to revisit. There was a post on Metal Hammer about them yesterday, saying they're an exciting band to watch out for, and their album (this one, or upcoming one) is produced by Mario Duplantier. That was enough to spark my interest.

Yep, I'm seeing that now...just yesterday on Twitter, album #2 done, picture with Duplantier. Very curious to see. Their debut is kinda hard to pin down, genre-wise. I like that they are not afraid to sound "classic", amid the heaviness. Some great solos in there too.

These are my personal favorites. My War, In My Head, and Damaged are excellent! Family Man is mostly spoken word and instrumental so I don't listen to it much.

Ho boy, that's a great set of albums right there! Swap Utgard out for In Times and that might be my 5 favourite Enslaved albums.

I'm real jealous. I've only seen Enslaved once, and that was in support of Opeth, so not a full set. Enjoy dude, have you seen them before?

Nice! I can honestly say Black Flag is my favorite band and The Misfits right behind them. Kiss is my favorite childhood band. I have been listening to them since I was 5 and Paul Stanley is a superhero to me but Black Flag is my spirit animal. They are so much fun to listen to and pumps me up. Been listening to Devin Townsend a lot, NO ONE writes music like Devin. I'm all over the place musically and I love it!!!!
