Started the day off with Metallica and ended up doing a big 4 theme with these albums

Metallica - Load
Megadeth - Youthanasia
Anthrax - Persistence of Time
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss

Oh man that's hard. Since I started with Load I kinda went the route of "not the clear cut stand out album, but one that's damn great" with all these bands, so I didn't go for my favorite but rather the ones I consider to be pretty strong. Seasons in the Abyss might be the most sort of undeniably great thrash metal albums out of the bunch but I think I've listened to the other 3 more and they are sort of easier to return to, Seasons (and Slayer in general) requires me to be in a certain mood to really enjoy.

I'm not an Anthrax fan, and those are two weaker albums by Metallica/Megadeth in my view, so yea Seasons wins out. Damn I love that record.

Freedom is the only song I don’t love on Pirates but it’s much better live.

Definitely Seasons for me. It's probably my favorite Slayer record anyway. And all other others are far from favorites from the respective bands.

I'm not the biggest Messa fan, but this new live album is probably the best release I've heard by them. It's so good!

Yeah, this was very nice. Funnily enough, I had discovered their previous album just recently, thoroughly enjoyed it, and found out their new one was coming out very soon, so that worked out pretty good…

Yeah, the guitarist is a beast. The solo in Blood Brothers is fucking ridiculous.

Brent turned us on to these guys years ago I think in one of his early podcasts.
