weirdly good week for some of the best metal albums of 2023 to quietly drop huh
never heard of either of these but i was sold 10 minutes into both

This one has Mark St. John as he only played 2 or 3 live shows with Kiss. Marks life and death was so tragic. Posting story in the Kiss thread.

Really digging this really catchy symphonic/power metal album with a good male singer and a great female singer. Listened to some of their other albums and it seems like it might have taken this band 22 years to finally make a really good album!

They've had the omnipresent vocal turnover curse, but they seem to have finally struck gold with Clementine.  All the other vocalists they've had (including the current guy) are just ok, and the instrumentation has been so-so.  That is definitely their best album yet though, "I Will Be Gone" is a fantastic song.

Also Paul's "tongue" skit before Lick It Up is awful/cheesy but he can shit in my face and I'd still love 'em.
