Selections from last few days' commutes...





Man, I hadn't listened to Angra's Angels Cry in so long...really took me back...still so good. Hefty Helloween influence on the speedier songs, but there's more than just that. Excellent debut (and they would go on to do even better with the follow-up!)

The Tanagra album is awesome, and the Enshine is the first harsh vocal album I ever bought.

Yep to Tanagra...very unique, I like it a lot. And Enshine's record is fantastic. So "lush" in its atmosphere. Jari Lindholm on guitar is great in this genre.

The Enshine was really my gateway to harsh vocals. It really opened the doors for me. The vocals are less of a lead instrument as most vocals are, but more a part of the sound, and I found that way more accepting.

Enshine is such a niche band to come in on, and not one I'd think you'd be especially into, but they're fantastic anyway.

Listening now. Stoner prog? Female vocalist. Sound pretty decent but no Instant Boner for me.  :D

They are a very underrated band for sure. You may want to check out Lufeh "Luggage Falling Down". Excellent progmetal without all the ego masturbation and fluff.
