Real nice (mildly symphonic) power metal from Finland. I listened to it kind of randomly and I was pretty hooked  :) Great vocals (the singer's name, Bruno Proveschi, sounds very Italian, but I have no idea if he actually is) and strong songs. The mix of ingredients varies a bit over the course of the record - some Avantasia (The Ones to Fall - that chorus is impossibly catchy!), some Blind Guardian (Soul Reaver), even some recent Judas Priest (Nighthunter)...and they can get pretty epic too (Dusk of Dawn) - but the whole thing has a nice flow. They certainly don't reinvent the wheel, but I'd recommend this to fans of the genre.

Always had a soft spot for this album…

A classic! They morphed into Karnya and released a great album, " Coverin' Thoughts". Empty Tremor, Arkhe, Heart Of Sun, Oro Nombro, Dynamic Lights, and Madsword are also great traditional prog metal bands.

Oh, this is nice. I had read about this band before (this just came out and it's their third full-length), but hadn't checked out their music yet. Pretty classic heavy metal with NWOBHM influence. It works great, though, all the way from the build-up in the Prelude to the end. A couple of songs have a bit of Sabbath influence, via newer bands like Spirit Adrift  (e.g. Beyond the Grave or The Wrath). Some great dynamics within the songs and the album length is just right. I've enjoyed this one!

I don't think I've ever listened to this one. I have Souvenirs d'un autre monde, Écailles de Lune and Shelter. I like them but, for some reason, I lost track of the band. I should probably remedy that.

This one is interesting/different and a bit meandering. I need to listen more. Nothing really stood out on my first full listen but I'm compelled to spin a few more times before I give it a fair chance. Listening now....
