I haven't checked this out, actually! I should, as I have read very good things about it (including from you)...

Sigh is one of those bands I should explore more of. I only have one album of theirs (Gallows Gallery), and I don't remember much of it, except that it was kinda weird (which, I guess, is the point  :biggrin:) and I did find it interesting

I do think White Pony is overrated but it'd still probably be my third favorite behind Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan, so definitely not bottom half. My other Deftones hot take is that Gore really isn't considerably worse than the majority of of their albums.

Deftones is a band that I honestly don't love any of their albums, but they have enough highlights across all of them for me to still be a fan. I saw them live last year and they kicked ass.

Wow, I didn't realize the aggregate ratings for it were that relatively low.  I do remember liking the whole album, but my fondness for it heavily leans on "Prayers/Triangles" and "Hearts/Wires" being probably my second and third favorite songs of theirs.

Hell yea guys. Shiki is really good but I think their previous, Heir to Despair, is even better. Imaginary Sonicscape is also well worth a listen.

For anyone unfamiliar, Sigh are basically a Japanese progressive/melodic black metal band. Check it.

As for the Deftones, I also agree that Diamond Eyes is ranked relatively low for me, and Gore is rated higher than average. I did a real deep dive into the band about 2 years ago, it was great.
