Bruce Springsteen - Magic

Love them.  Wish they would release more than an album a decade these days, but at least we're supposed to get a new one later this year.
Yep.  March.  Looking forward to it.

I guess Thile is too damn busy to be able to commit more time to this project.

Yeah, I like his solo material, Punch Brothers, various guest spots and such, but NC just has a certain chemistry that you can't replicate elsewhere.  Though I won't complain if he can finish the collaboration with Hilary Hahn, that has the potential to be magical.

Abominog is nice enough. It's not heavy at all though. The follow up, Head First, with the same lineup is even lighter.

Uriah Heep's new album comes out on Friday. I love modern day Uriah Heep with Bernie Shaw on vocals. Really consistent and solid albums.

I only have Sea of Light and Sonic Origami from the Shaw era. I haven't listened in a long time, but I have good memories of both. Sea of Light, in particular, I remember being particularly hard rocking, for Heep's standards. Against the Odds and Time of Revelation are great songs.

It might be time to do a Uriah Heep's revisit too  :) There's a lot of ups and downs, but they have some pretty sweet material...

I haven't come close to hearing all of their 25 albums yet but all the ones Ive heard are at least fun. Some are obviously much better than others but I haven't come across any that I've completely disliked so far.

1973 today...

Quadrophenia, Side Four:  one of my Top Five nonQueen album sides of all time :tup

Why is it, that when I see those covers, they all make me feel 'young'....except Queen I, .... which makes me feel old for some reason?

It is a great trip down memory lane.

Would Queen's debut album have been listened to before a certain discography?  Asking for a friend :lol
...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!

Let your friend know that Queen's first album would not have been played. Your friend should see if Queen made today's 1974 list.

I had never heard Quadrophenia. Other than Who's Next, I have never heard another Who album in its entirety. It was a work listen, so not wicked dedicated, but I'd be up for a dedicated listen. I enjoyed what I heard.

The new King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard live bootleg. It's all three of their Red Rocks Marathon Shows from last year. That's nearly 9 hours of music!

Sounds like it was based on her album from last year, which was interesting but I never got back around to it for another look.

I got into ...And Justice For All at the beginning of this month, and while I haven't listened to it non-stop, it hasn't really left my listening rotation either. This is the kind of album I like to call a perennial classic; I can turn it on no matter how many times I've heard it and I'll still get lots of enjoyment from it. Really good album from start to finish!
