The one thing that really surprised me in the Images and Words chapter is that MP said that they consider "Take The Time" to be their Bohemian Rhapsody. I'd guess that was Metropolis, or A Change of Seasons. I never considered Take The Time to be the quintessential DT song, and definitely not their most epic and diverse song. Which is something that BR is to Queen.

Considering I have the original and first update of this book I remember passing on this, but I just got an email that my order had shipped... That's how screwy this was, so delayed I forgot ordering it.

I received an email that my order had shipped. . . for the previous hardback version.  Apparently, Essential Works had a technical glitch that re-sent some old emails.  So, you may just have been getting another confirmation on your previous order.

Got my copy a few weeks ago and am LOVING it, just like I knew I would. This will instantly be my favorite book ever, and I hope to read it 20+ times in a row. Even hardcore DT fans don't know all the info in this book. Such an in-depth.... "inside" look at the band. Thank you  so much, to whoever wrote it. $20 isn't enough for how much enjoyment I'll get from this book.

By the way... Regarding the parts where JR talks about how some of his ideas were turned down during the making of SDOIT, and when he talks about how because ToT was a very Metal oriented album, his role and influence were diminished... Was I the only one who read his tone as a little resentful there?

Anyone know how long to expect shipping to the USA to be?  I feel like I've been waiting forever.  If I go to the e-mail and to the site to track the order, it says it was dispatched the day after I ordered it (back in November).  Not sure if when it does arrive it will say it's been delivered?  Just wondering how long to wait before I need to think there's been some delivery problem.

I would have thought you should have received it by now.

You're best bet is to contact the publishers via https://rocket88books.com/contacts/

They will be able to help you, though they might not be back at their desks until 2nd January.

Rich,

Thanks for the quick response, you rock!  They told me it must have been lost in the mail and are sending me out a new copy.

Thanks again,

Tom

Hi Charles,

Yes, there is a Polish version coming very soon. It's currently being translated and I believe the Polish publishers are hoping to release the book in February!

The only thing that conerned me was they praised so much SC, BCSL and ADTOE consider it to be their best albums when they really the 3 weaker performences even they are great but forsure not as good as they described.

Really excited about reading this book, I've ordered it and its on the way to New Zealand.

When I've read other bio books I was super keen to listen to the music again because the book gave another perspective to the music.

Its pretty clear this book will be doing that too.

Yeah, I totally geeked out and listened to each album chronologically to coincide with each section of the book as I was reading that section.   :lol

I thought I read somewhere years back that Rich wasn't going to be doing an update. It'd be nice for sure though.

:lol I accidentally left my book on a flight shortly after this.  I was so mad at myself.  I never had the chance to get another book and likely won't come back to this now unless there was an updated version.  OH well, my fault sadly.
