As to the OP….. sadly, I haven’t watched the original six ‘Star Trek’ movies in around ten years.  I probably saw ‘Wrath of Khan’ a hundred times before 2012, but for some reason…..

Same with ‘Casablanca’.  And ‘16 Candles’, and….all The Marx Brothers movies. A pity

There are so many. When I was single, living alone, with no cable and little money, I watched the same DVDs over and over on my 32" tube TV. Then I got married, bought a 50" plasma, had kids, signed up for cable, and my movie viewing dropped off significantly. I still have so many of those DVDs I lived off of when I was single. I am about to buy a new TV and it occurred to me so many of my favorite movies I never watched on my plasma.

Gun to my head Star Trek II is my favorite film. I am making a point of it being one of my first viewings on the new TV once it's hooked up.

The two that spring immediately to mind are A Few Good Men and Field of Dreams.  I have to work myself up emotionally for FOD, so I don't watch it as often as its status in my movie rankings would seem to justify.

It's odd. I didn't hate this movie, but I walked away really having a strong distaste for Vincent Gallo. And nothing I've read about him since has challenged that feeling.

The funny thing is that movie was my first exposure to Crosby Stills & Nash.  I actually bought the 45rpm single of that song (one of the only 45s I ever bought).  It came as quite a surprise to me when I found out that the song wasn't ANYTHING like most CSN songs.

I was working in a theater when The Firm came out. Several times people came out half way through and would ask someone on staff "How long is this movie?" You could tell they were bored and wanted it to get the heck over with.

Yeah.  I thought that and The Firm are the ones that translated best to the screen.  But as I recall, they are all pretty good.

I actually watched The Firm about a year ago...first time in years.  REALLY good movie.  The suspense level was off the charts and having Wilford Brimley as a CONVINCING, physically intimidating bad guy was awesome.

The Pelican Brief was also great.  I do, however, recall not caring for The Chamber all that much.  The rest I think I only ever saw once, and there were a few of his books that I read that I thought should've been made into movies.

I heard a lot of awful things about him. Years ago he came to Buenos Aires to film with Francis Ford Coppola and he was rude with everybody here. In this clip, another actor tells when Gallo was bullying him just before a scene and how he hit him one second before the action started (1:53)
