A bunch of tours announced today.  Sadly, the Gojira/Mastadon/Lorna Shore concert is the same day as GooGoo Dolls/OAR that I told my cousin and siblings I'd go to with them.  And honestly, I'm not against seeing Madonna at the Garden.

Oh fudge, Mastadon and Gojira at the Forum?  I didn't think both of them, even as a co-headline bill, would be this big to play there.  I'll keep my eyes out for affordable tickets.

Maybe it will be how it was when Amon Amarth played there.  Full open pit, and then just the first section of seating with the curtains up to block off the upper level. Otherwise, I didn't Amon Amarth was big enough to headline there.

Sure hope AB mixes it up for you! I'm only doing the Wellmont show for now (might also hit the Philly show).

Wellmont sold out apparantly.  I'll see the day of, if I can scoop up a ticket/if I want to attend.  I'm not big enough into Alter Bridge and I've seen Wolfie three times already to go out of my way.

They've been changing up one to two songs per night. So by doing four shows, we should get everything they are playing. Fingers-crossed. AB is a family affair. These days, they are mine, my wife's and our daughter's favorite band. So this will be fun.

I mainly use Alter Bridge tours as a way to determine where I want to travel to depending on the dates.  This time around it will be Toronto in February.  Should be a fun and cold trip.

I'm thinking about going to their show in Kansas City and then head to St. Louis the next day to watch a Blues games.  That will depend on how I feel, health-wise, after the Toronto weekend trip.

Just picked up a pair of lower bowl seats, dead center, on the center aisle, for Mastodon/Gojira. Soundboard is directly over my left shoulder. Should be great sound and an excellent view. Way more affordable than I thought. Came to 179 with all the charges for the pair. 239 after the ridiculous premier parking charge, but where I'm going, that's worth it.

Well, I got my ticket for Mastodon and Gojira as well.  Face value on Ticketmaster for a section 200 seat was $45.00.  Only 5 rows available from the looks of it per 200s section.  Might as well get it now and have the assurance of a good enough view, in row 3, aisle seat, in the upper sections.

Alter Bridge with Mammoth WVH opening - History - Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  February 11th, 2023.
Alter Bridge with Mammoth WVH and Pistols at Dawn (no idea who those guys are) - House of Blues - Anaheim, California.  March 28th, 2023.
Alter Bridge with Mammoth WVH - Yeamova Theater - Highland, California.  April 1st, 2023.
Mastodon and Gojira with Lorna Shore opening - The Forum - Inglewood, California. April 21st 2023.

I still need a show in January and other than Bush at Hollywood Palladium which has tickets going for $70.00, there's nothing else that's interesting to me.

Hoping for Dream Theater, Kamelot, maybe Opeth coming back to the states. But I think we just missed them. And we'll see who else pops up!

I was supposed to go to Karnivool with The Ocean as supports, but I just sold my tickets! I don't know what's happening to me, but I used to be big into them but it just isn't really my jam anymore. I decided the long journey to get there and back on a weekday just isn't really worth it for me at this moment.

They're a fantastic band, it's not at all their fault but idk, it just doesn't interest me now. Over the last year I've been getting more into lo-fi psychedelic rock like King Gizzard and that excites me way more. It's the first time I've decided to sell tickets due to diminishing interest in the music.

I also didn't get tickets to see Alter Bridge, Leprous, Opeth and Riverside. Something which was previously unimaginable for me, I would ALWAYS go when these bands came to my country. Maybe it's partly financial as well and the fact that I now have kids. Maybe I'm getting more selective in my picks for concerts due to those reasons.

March 3: Devin Townsend
March 4: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (if I manage to get tickets)
April 14: Joe Satriani
April 27 and 29: Metallica
June 16-18: Graspop Metal Meeting

Tried to scoop up Madonna tickets at the Garden during the presale this morning.  Almost all tickets were gone, but the couple I saw were too expensive for me.  I would have liked to check her show out, as odd as that may sound.

Actually, saw her 3 times ('85, '87 & '90) and all 3 shows were good. Plus, she was pretty hot back then  :o before she went completely off the rails! :tdwn

OH yeah, she's something else today.  I've never seen her and honestly the thought that it could be a trainwreck is fairly entertaining in itself.  My gf would have liked to go to.  It would have made for a fun date night.

Dang, Nickelback has announced their tour and their supporting acts are country acts?  I got nothing against Country, when Zac Brown Band and Brad Paisley provided two great shows last year, but considering the fact that in 2020, their advertised support acts were STP and Switchfoot, going from that to country can be disappointing.  I'll still keep an eye out for affordable tickets though.

Alestorm /Gloryhammer US tour announced.

I've been wanting to see Alestorm again bad and my gf has been wanting to see them too. Nice to see this tour (the same two bands toured in 2019 in the US, the last time they toured the US) is playing now twice the size venue in NYC.  From selling out Gramercy Theater (500 capacity) to Irving Plaza (1k capacity).

Also Avatar announced a tour today, so adding these two:

May 23rd - Avatar, Orbit Culture & Veil of Maya @ Webster Hall, New York City NY
May 27th - Alestorm & Gloryhammer @ Irving Plaza, New York City NY

Yeah, totally.  That 2019 show was absolutely insane. I'd say my venue might have been too packed, it felt a little unsafe at times, but the show was sooooo much fun.  They've slowly been creeping up my list of bands I want to see most again, I actually think they may top that list.  My gf and I were thinking of using that week of the show to go on vacation and we both said we can find another time for us to travel  :lol  :metal

When they played here it was in my favorite venue, probably 500 tops, with a low stage and no barrier. Such an insane performance
