Cool Story Bro weight loss
« on: May 03, 2011, 06:36:39 PM »
so i just discovered that over the past 2 weeks I have dropped 20 lbs... Seriously WHAT THE FUCK? :mehlin :mehlin
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Were you trying to lose the weight?  Have you changed your diet and exercise routine?
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Do you have anorexia? Like, do you find yourself repulsed by idea of human survival contingent on eating salads with bacon bits?

I thought depression was bad for weight?

Anyway, if you haven't done some serious exercising and/or fasting, I'd seriously recommend you got your health checked or, at the very least, your scale.

I went from the slightly overweight 175 to the much more comfortable 150 over the course of four months. I was pretty happy about that, even if I barely introduced any kind of exercise into my routine.

Smaller portions, walks, and considerably less alcohol consumption.

Depression is bad for weight indeed.
I wouldn't want somebody with 18 kids to mow my damn lawn, based on a longstanding bias I have against crazy fucks.

Dude, even with depression, 20 lbs in 2 weeks is massive, and way more than the recommended maximum weight loss of 2lbs per week.
Doctor, subito.

How much do you weigh? Makes a big difference in how serious this is.

I don't want to get you paranoid, but at that BMI (~40) you are at danger of developing diabetes, which could conceivably be a reason for the weight loss. So, while 20lbs off 270lbs is much less body percentage-wise than going from 180 to 160, I think you should still have that checked out.

Stopped drinking all alcohol and started working out  lost 62 lbs (I was unemployed so I was able to devote 3-4 hours a day in the gym)

Started working and stopped going to the gym...have put 23 of the 62 back on  :sadpanda:

Do some circuit training.  10-15 minutes of intense cardio 4-5 days a week will help you maintain or lose more weight.
