I’ll play along. Last two years, I’ve been one and done. Will this be three in a row?

I’ll take the Titans, I think.

I’ll take the 49ers this week. I think the Bears are going to be one of the worst teams in the league this year.

I haven't followed NFL much this year, especially in print. I had to do a double-take when I saw Washington Commanders.

Well I couldn’t predict Soldier Field turning into a borderline swimming pool, and the Bears win ugly. This was fun…

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals

Double

Question for the 'chair' and survivors:  had the game ended in a tie, would TAC and I have 'survived'?  Something to think about in the future for those advancing.

And......geesh......watched the nondescript Ravens win over the Jets.  More bored and unenthused about a Ravens game than I've been in years.  Then I start following the Bengals game online.  Fail inside the 10 with under two minutes.  Get the ball back, and score on the final play to tie, then have the winning PAT blocked.

Ravens game ends, so we get to watch.  A high snap results in a bad hook on the winning FG in OT.  Then Boswell's 55 FG slams the upright (sounded like an anvil).  Then the Burrow fumble forcing the punt, which Cincy did with 16 seconds still on the play clock.  Then Boswell wins it with a 52 yarder with :00 left.

Good luck throughout the year to the rest of you.   ( :censored)

Yup. Had to double check, but yup. 2020, I picked Indy who lost to Jacksonville, and in 2021 I took the Bills who lost to the Steelers. Seems I have a penchant for picking teams that are good but shit the bed in the first week.

Oh well. Better luck next year…

The Indy loss in 2020 was one of the most mind boggling of all time, it was the only win for Jacksonville that season. Got me too.

So I'm in a standard survivor with 62 people and it looks like 40+ are gone week one with IND, TEN picks.
I was barely BARELY spared with my pick of the Saints.
Take care everyone - Bet you all didn't even notice I was gone.

Happy Lives to you all.

A MNF double-header might cause him an aneurysm; hard to say for sure. And that's following a rather tricky change from CBS to NBC on Sunday evening. Brutal weekend, that's for sure.

Not many games one might reasonably consider a lock this week. Thinking Rams over Falcons. Sure don't like picking divisional games, though.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

The Bills at this point seem to be one of the very few safe picks this week.  But, then again who knows?  Oh well, I'll go with Buffalo.

PS:
Can someone please remind me what our rule for picks is here?   Can you pick a team more than once during the season?

(You can tell this is the first season I’ve ever made it past week 1, lol.)
