Does anyone have an idea when Geddy and Alex is going to come out for a few songs?

I'm watching it now. Emotional speech by Dave.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

My guess is that will be later in the night. Probably one of the last acts.

Wheeee, Them Crooked Vultures has finally played on a live stage since forever ago.  You kinda wish they did it on a more joyous occasion, but you take what you can get.

Just tuning in now...

For a moment there, Rufus Taylor looked just like Taylor Hawkins was sitting on the drum stool...is it just me, or is there some resemblance...?

Boy, Dave Grohl was able to keep it together for most part of the day, but now when Foo Fighters' set starts, you can see him in tears on song one, Times Like These.

Yea times like these was heartbreaking to watch. Who is the dude who sang under pressure? I thought it was funny that he wouldn't hand the mic to Brian Johnson during back in black

That was Justin Hawkins (no blood relation, I think)  from a band called The Darkness.

Btw, this is a nice picture on the drum kit.  Makes me sad that both of them are gone.

I just dropped the needle on the video in a few spots..

Who was the tall blond haired guy that was singing with Dave on drums and JPJ on bass?

Who was the blond female singer?

I'll watch the video once the different sections are timestamped.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I think the female singer was possibly Violet, Dave's daughter. Unless there were more. I also just dropped in a few times and will wait for a timestamped version.

Blond haired guy was Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures

The blond girl was Dave Grohl's daughter

The tall guy, with Dave on drums and JPJ, is Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age (you wouldn't know them).  Dave's daughter, Violet, did sang a few Jeff Buckley songs.

It's the funny thing about time.  About 11 years ago, you see a little kid with headphones nearby Taylor while Foo Fighters was playing festivals in Europe.  Now, you see that kid play his father's live drum parts in My Hero with Foo Fighters.

Grohl wasn't kidding about TH's kid playing hard. Somewhere Tommy Aldridge was watching with a big smile on his face.

That Omar Hakim guy was about a badass.

Caught My Hero with his kid on the drums and almost cried. Something about it was just terribly moving. That kid destroyed it.

I just watched this as well. It must've been quite emotion for Geddy and Alex.

Damn, Geddy looks ready to go out on tour right now!

Yes he did.  Can we bribe him to?  Beg?  Cry?  Etc.

Why would we want to bribe him?  Rush is over.  Fans never to get over it instead of begging for more.

One-offs like today are cool, and what I saw was pretty darn neat.  I never thought I'd see a photo taken where Geddy was standing in between Paul McCartney and John Paul Jones.  And watching Taylor's kid tear it up on My Hero was something else.  :coolio :coolio

Well, I was being a bit silly.  Geddy and Alex should do whatever it is that they want.  If I ran into them today, I would not in fact try to bribe them.  But that doesn't mean I can't hope for more such appearances and for some sort of collaboration between the two of them.  If it never happens, it's fine.  If it were to happen, I fully realize that it wouldn't be Rush.

I don’t know - maybe Geddy, Alex and Dave Grohl should do a project together. Not as Rush (he’s not replacing NP), but something totally different.  It would probably be good for all 3 of them - and they seem to have great energy and chemistry together. And if they did decide to tour, just think about how much interest there would be for that, would be a big money maker for them for sure. Kind of makes sense to me.
