Almost done with my discography run. I just realized how polarizing this band is for me. It's either I love a song, or a hate it. Very few songs land in between.

I have 2 albums with every track in the top 50.

I haven't done a ranking for them, but I know Lightbulb Sun will get every song in my top 50. Yeah, those 3 albums are going to have a really strong showing in my list I think, along with In Absentia. Once I start on the Ranker, this might be the hardest list yet.

Yeah, I expect the PT countdowns to come pouring in once the Queensryche submission period closes.  I may extend submissions for this one by a week, to give everyone a little more time, as doing these two this close together may have been a bit unwise on my part.

I was gonna say, it seems like you are cutting these a bit close. Just so people don't get too burnt out on relistening to discographies, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to push this out another week.

I keep trying to make a list and stressing out over exact positioning of tracks. Like, for you guys how do you decide what exactly is the difference between, say, #30 and #20. I'm pretty sure of my top 2 but beyond that it's a jumble of equally liking the songs but not knowing exactly which ones I like a tiny bit more than others to rank them 1 or 2 places higher.

Yeah this is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I do have a list prepared with all the songs, and I think it's mostly right but it doesn't feel like I can rank some songs over another.

Just have 3 more albums to listen.

I think that's where the ranking engine helps a lot. PT is a band where I'd have an impossible time trying to put them in any order by sight, so just picking my favorite of each 1 on 1 matchup and letting the ranking engine give me my top 75 is the way to go.

Re-listening to their discography and really familiarizing with pre-Lightbulb albums. Up the Downstair (I'm hearing the remix with Gavin) is the pleasant surprise here , so many very good songs on it! And Staircase Infinities is also very cool.
