Not bad, that album has finally been growing on me after ignoring it for a decade or two.

Me too. One of my favorite songs of theirs. It's close to a perfect (pop?) rock song.

I'm the same way.  The number of songs of his I like could probably be counted on one hand.

I adore it too, but I always felt All My Life was an even better example of the perfect pop rock song.

Love that song, too.

I think Dave Grohl has totally mastered the pop rock mix.  Wasting Light has a bunch of great examples - Walk, These Days, Band & Forth.  Probably the last album of theirs I've really dedicated any considerable amount of time to.

100% agree. Wasting Light is one of my favorite Foo Fighters album, when I look at is as a whole. Very little (if any) filler, lots of great songs. None of their subsequent albums grabbed me quite as much.

Panopticon - "Rope Burn Exit"
Primus - "Welcome to this World"
Coheed and Cambria - "Time Consumer"
Talking Heads - "Take Me to the River"
Meshuggah - "Demiurge"

Definitely favored heavier tracks, all of which I either like or love.
