Yea I’m set in my ways and don’t want to rely on my phone for my music. My iPod is 11 years old now, but it’s still going.

Nice. My Fiio is almost 9 years old at this point (bought it used back in 2017), and it keeps working just fine, except for the wheel thingy, that's starting to show its age. Sound quality is excellent and on Line Out, it can sound quite loud on my speakers. Wished I had the money for a more modern iteration, but I can't really complain.

I have some music on my phone, but generally I prefer to keep them separate and listen to podcasts more on it.  So on the go I've been using Fiio players the last number of years, and Cowon before that, but I still have two "working" iPods.  My one from '07 had a hard-drive failure 3-4 years ago, so with the remaining two one has a battery that is toast, and the other only outputs audio from the headphone jack in one ear, so both are only really usable at home via USB.  Before using iPods I had Creative Labs products, but those are long-defunct.

Yea dude, I started with a 20gb Creative then moved up to a 32gb (with colour screen  ). My iPod is showing it’s age. The headphone jack is shot so I had to buy one of the headphone adapters that connects to the 32 pin port at the bottom. The battery isn’t too bad considering, it needs charging every few days. It crashes every now and then but I’m proud of it

I've had stuff sent to me in my roulettes all the time that I have Saved. In fact, in the current round, I have the Marius Danielsen album Saved, but for whatever reason, have never checked it out, and had no idea I was sitting on such a goldmine of a vocal collaboration.

In fact, in the current round, I have the Marius Danielsen album Saved, but for whatever reason, have never checked it out, and had no idea I was sitting on such a goldmine of a vocal collaboration.

Yes, the heart icon.

I'm pretty loose with my Saving. I save about 6-10 albums every week. I comb through new releases every Friday, drop the needle and save what sounds decent. Plus recommendations in all of the various DTF threads.

Playing in roulettes allows me to explore what I have right under my nose.

Nobody's Wife  by Anouk

I've sampled some of her stuff before, but meant to get more into it.  This one is quite nice.

Nobody's Wife was HUGE in Europe when it came out. Great song. The album (her debut, Together Alone) is quite nice overall, although that's definitely a stand out.

She did a ton more, but I only know a couple more of her albums - the second (Urban Solitude) and the third (Graduated Fool).

...and the whole of Graduated Fool is surprisingly rocking, really, but always catchy and with great vocals (check out Too Long and Everything, for example)
