Us lining up to give Tim the Winger business.

I remember 16 year old me purchasing 'In The Heart of the Young' along with Poison's 'Flesh and Blood'.  Even 16 year old me, who was very into his glam/hair metal knew after a couple of plays 'In the Heart of the Young' was a stinker.  Don't think I've listened to anything else by the band.

* 16 year old me enjoyed 'Flesh and Blood' much more.

Down Incognito is an excellent song by ANY band.  LOVE that tune.
Damn right, that's good stuff.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I'm partial to Rainbow In the Rose, got some great guitar licks in them. Rod M's playing is also so sublime.

I saw Rod with the Dregs a couple years ago, as well as, I THINK, with Steve Morse.  He's really good.

I came to know Rod from his work in Platypus, The Jelly Jam and Dixie Dregs. When I found out he was in Winger I was shocked (and a little disgusted  :lol).

The Dregs opened for DT on I think the second leg of the SFAM tour. They were fantastic. I was already a huge fan of Steve and was well aware of Rod by that time.

I too have seen Rod once with the Dixie Dregs, and he is an outstanding drummer. Huge smile when he drums. His solo was a highlight of the show. Also a big fan of his work in Platypus and The Jelly Jam. That first Jelly Jam album is really great. Between those acts, Winger, and his work on Kip’s solo albums, Rod has always been one of my favorite drummers.

As truly awful as a certain percentage of Winger songs are (I agree In The Heart of the Young has a big chunk of awfulness), that band really could play. Pull is the album where the band really put it all together and shed most of the worst of the 80s hair metal stuff, though even that album has its moments with some questionable lyrics. Rod has some really cool moments on that album though, including a very cool tribal drum solo on the ending of Like A Ritual.
