Finished Impressions for you guys to ponder over. I'm finishing up one last listen through of all the EPs (this will make 6 times through, I believe), then I will start writeups tomorrow, which I will do while listening to each EP one last time.
I gotta say, I was impressed in one way or another by each EP. Even the newcomers to my roulettes that thought they were out of their comfort zone put together coherent stories (for the most part) and sent some good stuff. I wasn't sure what to expect from everyone in a roulette like this, but overall I'm really happy with the way this first round turned out. Hopefully that will be incentive enough for you all to maintain a vested interest in this, because I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far and am looking forward to what you guys will bring to the table for round 2.
I also want to apologize for not being able to update Hangman as frequently as expected this week. Being out of town didn't help things. Thanks again to Tim for helping out on Friday
And thank you to all participants for joining, knowing this would be a bit of a time investment.
Ariich - Congrats Ariich
Deadeye - One song feels kind of out of place
Elite - Strange song selection....and yet brilliant in places.
Jingle - While the songs fit well together, I don't know that they support the narrative enough.
Stadler - I'm fairly certain the protagonist was just stoned and he imagined the whole experience.
Wolfking -
.....hmm, that might be too vague, let me try to express myself a little better.......
Cyril - I'm fairly certain no one else in this roulette would like this EP, but this was surprisingly amazing.
Vmadera - There are some really inspired song choices and flow between songs and some really questionable song choices and flow...
Kingshmegland - I was initially unsure how well these songs would go together musically, but the keyboards, surprisingly, were what bound a lot of it together
TAC - Not sure if this was intentional, but the story almost sounds metaphorical for the loss of a loved one, could just be me projecting my own thoughts on the story and me reading more into the lyrics than was intended.
