I'm almost done.  It's long and pretty drawn out but pretty heavy in places.  Probably more personal than this round.

Thanks for checking in. I have been lurking from time to time over the week, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to post anything.

Just to not leave you guys hanging too much, I'll post the final 2 sets of album art I made. I had finished these and intended on posting them Tuesday night, but, well, you know.... I have a busy and stressful week ahead of me, so hopefully this will give you guys a little bit to talk about in my absence. Also, sorry TAC, I intended on making a fake album art set for your album to keep up the charade, but I didn't get around to it before Tuesday.

Here's my EP..
The link is only available for 2 more days. I'll re-upload it in case anyone misses it. But the EP doesn't work the way it's supposed to work by simply making a Spotify playlist.

Not Gonna Do It

1. Smiling-Shopping Cart  0:00

Narrator: Let's go shopping!!

2. Persifone-Returning To The Source 1:53

Narrator: At the end of every shopping trip, what do you do with your cart? Do you return it to the source, the corral, the store? Or do you just leave it near your car, as it's someone's job to come get it. Are you a bad person if you leave it?
Such stress in this one decision.

"So much dark around this step
So much fear... Ignorance... The humankind

We have been instructed
Hypnotized during our life
Instilling in us

I transcend this spiritual step
Losing my being, my ego

I let myself go..."

3. James Labrie-Undecided 8:32

Narrator: Society is putting pressure on us, slowly changing our behaviors. Making our decisions for us.

"The pulpit the teachers
Have warned us
Blindly accepting
Their words as truth

Can't help that you're suspicious
Something is missing
Still you can't decide
But you're letting them guide you
How can we listen
These empty words
In their messages meanings"

4. VOLA-Controllable 13:52

Narrator: No one should control what we do. We should return the carts why? because it's the right thing to do? Who says? Why is one looked down upon for leaving the cart for the carriage boy?

"He was never sure of the decisions made before he found a way to take control of his head

Now he has decided he will not be all divided by the sentiments that bring him to his knees
He is getting tired of illusions undesired showing up and pulling him out of peace

We are not controllable
I am not controllable"

5. Death-A Moment Of Clarity  18:52

Narrator: At once, the moment is clear. The choice is made. Not for him, but by him.

"Life is like a mystery
With many clues but with few answers
To tell us what it is
That we, can do to look
For messages, that keep us from the truth

Open my eyes
Wide to see
A moment of clarity
Confusion gone"

6. Bonus Hidden Track
Horchata Network-Shopping Cart Chorale  27:49

Song notes:
1. Returning To the Source, with the chaotic vocals represents the stress involved.
2. Things lighten a bit in mood with Undecided. It represents reasoning.
3. Things get a bit heavier with Controllable, as the resentment starts to build.
4. A Moment Of Clarity represents full "fuck it" mode.
5. The last line of the hidden track is...beautiful.

Editing Notes:
1. I cut most of the outro to Returning The Source. It kind of goes on and on. If you're familiar with the song, you'll pick up on that right away, and it'll likely sound weird to you.

2. The transition between Undecided and Controllable was one that I struggled with. I tried all sorts of ways. Ultimately I just tried to hit it on the beat. I did raise the treble a bit on Controllable to try and make it closer to Undecided. There is a slight sound difference between the songs, but I was just kind of stuck with it.

3. I really struggled in how to bring in A Moment Of Clarity. Nothing I did I was happy with. I ultimately decided to download a sound effect of a carriage being pushed and crossfaded it between the two tracks.

4. A Moment Of Clarity crossfades into Static. I like how some albums finish like that before the final line. I added Dana Carvey's classic "Not gonna do it" after the static after a brief pause. Kind of like the ending to SFAM.

5. I left two minutes of silence to simulate a true "hidden track".

Today was a crappy day. Have been feeling quite depressed, so I needed something to distract myself. I tried listening to all of your EPs again, but most of them are just too emotional at the moment and I just can't listen to them right now, especially knowing the back stories for them. So I threw myself into improving some of the art I have made for not only this rounds EPs, but also some of the stuff from the past rounds. This proved to be a decent distraction for the day. Hopefully you like the improvements I made.

Can't imagine it'll be any easier to listen to some of these next week either. Would you consider skipping this round as far as scoring/results? Seems like it could be quite a chore for you. And I say this as the clear cut winner of the round. ;D

Maybe have a comedy/fun EP round instead, or go right to the concept album, or whatever..

I know you said this one was probably my best in your opinion and I’m definitely keen to see your thoughts, but I’d be more than happy to just skip past it and go into something else if it’s going to be better for you, Pup. I tend to agree with TAC in that if our EPS aren’t something you can listen to now, it probably won’t be easy for a while.

Just know, I’m here for you mate. Distance leads to me not being able to do much for you, but I have an inbox and an ear to lend on the other side of it. Wishing you the best.

That new artwork looks great, love the higher quality of the Searching For a Purpose cover! You’re beyond gifted when it comes to art mate. I’d love to work with you in future.

So, this may not be a bad idea. I can put this round on the backburner and do a bonus round. Maybe make it a "light-hearted/upbuilding/feel-good" themed round. No real story necessary, just keep it within that theme. What do you guys think? Then after that I will circle back around to the "Personal Story" round.
