I just figured that one was either Deep Purple or Duke Ellington.  Classical Gas doesn't sound old-school to me.

This is beautiful. Amazingly skilled lead guitar complimented by a really nice acoustic guitar in the backing.

Steve Morse - Cruise Missile: It would be easy to say great guitar playing, but that bass solo!

My problem is that I basically sent a ten minute guitar solo, and there are like seven that talk specifically about the guitar and/or the solo! I got mine in a group of five, but I don't have the first clue - other than a pure guess - to narrow it down from there.

Very pleased this was it. Got a lot of work to do if I stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but I'm glad you're digging what I sent. I'll pm you a live video of this track they did when the guitarist was 16...it's not just her playing, her stage presence for such a youngster is unbelievable. I've gone on record many times saying she is the top guitarist of her generation.

My problem is that I basically sent a ten minute guitar solo, and there are like seven that talk specifically about the guitar and/or the solo! I got mine in a group of five, but I don't have the first clue - other than a pure guess - to narrow it down from there.

My exact scenario, though mine is a bit more structured than a solo, it's still very guitar centric.
