I love this band, and I send them frequently in roulettes, but I think there are at least a few people here who don’t play in roulettes who might enjoy them. There’s no good way to describe them really. They started out as sort of a home recording/indie thing, and evolved into a more progressive/art pop group with some elements of folk, synth pop, power pop, and whatever they come up with really. They released one album on Kscope and did a cover/remix of a Steven Wilson song, so that’s their prog cred. Oh, and they opened for Big Big Train a few years back. They scaled back to a duo for their last album, which could be described as a cross between Peter Gabriel and The Civil Wars.
They just release a new song that will be the first track on their new album, due out this year hopefully but no firm release date yet. It’s as good an introduction to what they do as anything and I highly recommend checking it out if any of this sounds interesting at all:
