Another one gone. He was 67, and very ill. I don't know if his voice was an act, but it was unique, silly, and iconic.

That's a bummer.  Here's a video of him, last November, reading the quotes from a post-game interview from Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk regarding him being bitten on the hand by Brendan Lemieux in a fight during a Kings/Senators game since someone paid Gottfried a Cameo to read the quotes.

Gilbert, because of his schtick, was one of those guys for me that was either HILARIOUS, or tedious, there was no in between.  The good thing is the "HILARIOUS" far outnumbered the "tedious".

Was never really a fan.  Voice kinda got on my nerves, but I did like his bit in Beverly Hills Cop II.  Hilarious!  RIP
