I know the time is limited but at least Petrucci could've said band members name instead of his family. Because even he is the producer the song doesn't belong him but the band itself. And to be honest, it's surprising to see them winning because it's probably one of their less original song and worse among other nominated songs but I guess it's enough for Academy.

But hey, my favourite band finally won a music oscar and it's well deserved for at least their career. Congratulations DT and I'm so happy.

Ah, I’m surprised they even had acceptance speeches. Boy, even the Foo Fighters aren’t even prime time at the Grammys. Rock and roll is really dead in terms of the public consciousness.

Funny, I think both of those songs and Gojira's from this year are better songs, but I'm still really happy for the band.  I just watched the video and you could see how happy JP was and that makes me very happy.  Also, his speech was great.

Holy shit they actually won! JP was on Robb Flynn's podcast when they announced the nominees and Rob later mused that Rob Zombie was a good candidate to win it but was really impressed with the Alien. Wow really can't believe they won.

Fantastic, well done guys! Really pleased for the band, especially JP who you could see it really meant a lot to. Thoroughly deserved, not only for a great song, but more recognition after decades of hard work and brilliant music.
