Not necessarily a hobby, but I do enjoy Jigsaw puzzles. Bought this one during the holidays and just now opened it. I'm gonna need a drink.

Welp, I am now officially 42K lighter.  Today the foundation repair guys just left after 11 days of seemingly non-stop noise.  But the good news is that all of our doors can close easily once again!  :P

So this is stage 2 of 5 of our major home remodeling plan.  Stage 3 hopefully begins in December.  But at this rate, I'm not sure we'll financially make it to stage 4.

I forgot to post this. I took me some time to finish it, mainly because the pieces are not unique so several pieces could fit in the same 2-3 slots, making it very difficult to figure out the darker areas and the edges.

Building this puzzle gave me a new appreciation for the cover. The amount of details that it has its incredible. I saw things I never noticed before.

That's pretty cool and also looks extremely difficult with so much dark color

DRUMS DRUMS DRUMS.

When I'm not playing. I'm watching Drumeo or thinking about playing. That's all i watch on YouTube now - is my fave TV shows cause I dont watch TV or I watch drumming videos.

I won a year of Drumeo Membership and a Drumeo practice pad so when i'm not playing i'm doing rudiments.

I think when you get really good at drums its way more fun than being good at guitar.

It was being sold on the official DT merch page but it looks like it was taken down already :/

No argument there, drums could be a really fun instrument. I'm able to play simple 4/4 patterns and enjoy it. Eventually, I'll get a drum set to mess around, but space is limited now and drums take up a lot of space (though I would probably do an electric set)

1. Get a good Electric Mesh Head kit.

2. If you have a decent pc / mac - get EZDrummer- or if you can afford it / have the PC space / ram - get Superior Drummer 2

3. Plus the kit into the PC / Mac via USB and turn your kit into literally any drumkit you want.

Do you play guitar often anymore?

This is where the puzzle lives now, right next to my Strat puzzle in my office/music room.

This are some others I have hanging around my place.

Cross-stitching update: work was busy as hell in October - December last year, so I didn't make any progress during those three months, however I'm back at it since January and so far so good. So here's a current pic, I'll post these once in a couple of months, as I guess it'll be interesting to look back at later when it's finally finished. Still on track to finish at the end of 2022.

I haven't posted in a while but now that I'm back on DTF, I thought I owe you guys an update. Long story short, I dropped most of my hobbies as the war started, but I kept playing guitar, stitching and running. Which is probably why I was even able to finish this piece this summer. I haven't shown it to many people, my parents have seen it, and so has my friend I've known since childhood and I think that's it. It did turn out pretty well though.

Final work:

On the wall without pre-built color-enhancing filters on my phone:

This section is for cross-stitch nerds: pic with only the cross-stitches/half-stitches, no back-stitches or other embellishments, not ironed:

Ironed with all details done:

This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

So here's one that I've finished:

And here's one that I'm working on. Yes, will add Bill Paxton later. Just took a picture of the three that I've (mostly) finished. There will be touch-ups and adjustments as well.

I'm not as happy with the second one, but I think I've got it in a place where it'll be acceptable to me once I touch up the details and fix the shading/shadows.
Listen! Do you smell something?
