starting with death, then morning, struggling through life, growing old, and eventually nearing death. a cyclical tale that loops in on itself and may be non-sequential (tracks 5-8 happen before tracks 1-4, or maybe they don't)

thirty four minutes of music all on punk/post-hardcore/emo/screamo spectrum (no metalcore)

As a simple peasant, life in your kingdom has been peaceful and calm. Until one day, without warning... the Lord Of Fiends attacked Castle Town. Amidst the fires and pillaging, the princess was kidnapped and the entire kingdom was plunged into chaos! But all hope is not lost... for unbeknownst to everyone else, the power of light dwells inside you. Without hesitation, you grab your Sword Of Unspecific Legend and set out to defeat the Lord Of Fiends, rescue the princess, and restore order to your kingdom!

After traveling through emerald fields, seas of sand, and the mountainous borderlands, you finally set your eyes upon it... the Castle Of Malice. Its tall towers and spiraling spires pierce the stormy clouds above, as they pelt heavy rain upon your silver armor. Thunder claps overhead. You swear you can hear the princess's desperate cries for help... though that could just be your imagination. This is it. Your destiny is within your grasp! Onwards... towards the Final Battle!!!

The Castle Of Malice has been stormed. You have slain countless Dark Knights, Stone Demons and Greater Goblins. At last, all that stands between you and the throne room are the massive doors made out of wood and brimstone. Mustering up all your courage, you place your hand on the doors and they open, seemingly anticipating your arrival. Smoke and fog pours out from the gap in the doors. Without waiting for it to clear, you walk forwards. You hear nothing but your footsteps as they echo and reverberate across the massive chamber... until the silence is broken by a booming, abyssal laughter. Through the fog, you see two glowing red eyes, and as the fog slowly dissipates, you lay your eyes upon the imposing silhouette of the Lord Of Fiends. No words are exchanged. You unsheathe your sword, and he draws two massive cleavers, one in each hand. You are filled with determination.

An epic battle is underway. Despite being moments away from death at every possible moment, you've never felt more alive! You swiftly dodge each weighty swing of his immense cleavers, and slowly chip away at his thick layers of armor. After countless blows, a critical swing detaches his final defenses, and you see it... a bright, glowing mass pulsing in the middle of his chest! A single blow to that should finish him off! Then, out of the corner of your eye, you see a mass of metal hurling towards you... he caught you off-guard in your slightest moment of distraction.

You absorb the impact... barely. Your body is sent flying across the massive chamber like a ragdoll and your back slams into a stone pillar, nearly turning it to rubble. You've made a terrible mistake. Where is your sword? Amazingly, you've managed to hold onto it. This moment of hope is quickly lost as you lift your head and look forward. The Lord Of Fiends is already in mid-air, leaping towards you with both cleavers aimed directly for your helpless body. Your perception of time has slowed to a crawl. The pain is unbearable. You can barely move. You've come so far... but is this truly the end?

That's when you hear it. A chorus of voices inside your head. Has witnessing your final moments caused you to lose your sanity? No, this is no insanity... you can hear them so clearly. All of your friends and loved ones. All of the people in your kingdom. Everyone in the word who stands for good. Their chants are all echoing through your head, and they're all chanting for one thing... YOUR VICTORY! The power of light grows exponentially within your soul! Your strength returns tenfold! This is it! This is your chance! You flip backwards through the air as the massive cleavers of the Lord Of Fiends slam down, grazing your cape and embedding themselves deep within the floor. You just barely dodged his final attack, and now he's wide open! You lunge forward, past his stuck cleavers, under his meaty arms, right up to the glowing mass in his chest, and you pierce through it! Your sword has struck true! An indescribable scream bursts from his demonic maw. You pull your sword out from his body as it writhes, convulses, and finally explodes into a cloud of ash. You've done it... you have won.

You gaze upwards as a cage lowers from the ceiling, as if in response to your decisive victory. It opens, and the princess flies into your arms with a trail of sparkles. She is safe and unharmed. The battle is behind you, but your quest is not over... you still need to return safely to your kingdom. As you step outside the castle walls, beams of sunlight pierce through the cloudy skies... This is your destiny!
