OK, I sent a song.

But now I have to figure out the next 4 rounds. I have no clue.

I knew sending something with an Indy angle might be a risk, but that turned out well enough. I really love the songwriting by Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Wouldn’t necessarily say they are your typical Indy band. More of an art pop/modern prog band with an Indy overtone (they were briefly on K-Scope for a few albums and even covered a Steven Wilson song). But their first album which that song is from was more on the Indy side of things.

I still have to decide on what to send next. Will get you something tonight or tomorrow.

Just what I needed. Hope I don't somehow tank in the next few rounds. Definitely listen to all of that album; it's a behemoth, but it's undoubtedly one of the best synthwave has to offer. You've been missing out!

I also thought you'd like that Sungazer song a bit more, but if you're not super into the glitchy sound you'd probably prefer their full-length LP they put out last year. It's less glitchy and is more atmospheric, at the cost of being a bit less energetic. I was going to send Cytherean, the last track from it. That song's absolutely beautiful.

Nah, actually I'm saving this one for the "long songs" round.

Starts off a bit slow, but gets pretty good around year 2, day 216, hour 14, minute 23. I really got into the vibe for a good 3-4 months, but unfortunately the album starts to lose its focus towards the beginning of the fourth year, and the last 2.5 years are rather forgettable and dull. I even left the house to run some errands for a few hours toward the end. Overall, a decent effort, but a bit unfocused and drawn out. I feel Bull of Heaven could have sufficiently expressed their ideas within a four-year time span. Somewhat of a tough nut to crack; for now I'll give this 2 stars, but it certainly has the potential to grow on me with repeated listens.
