I finally made it through all of the tracks. That's a lot of damn music. Including the ~~Imp~~Omnipotent One's , it's 27 songs at over 3 and a half hours.

I'll compile First Impressions when I get a chance, but I have to put this down for a bit. My wife will be home shortly and we're getting our tree.

But overall, I have to say that this was pretty much what I expected. Real pleasant and finely crafted music. Some of it had some surprising punch to it.

Into Fire. Not even close. Holy crap that was amazing. My '80's high school self would have been all over that song. And my '20's middle aged self is loving that song. Neal needs to rejoin Spock's and do a whole album of that style. That would confuse so many people. How awesome would that be?

Fuck that completely indeed. I lived in Michigan when Kid Rock, Eminem, and ICP all broke into the big time, and it was fucking awful. Eminem clearly had skills, but fuck, Bawittaba or whatever the fuck it is called, was on every radio station almost all the time, and every wannabe tough guy white boy was playing that album nonstop.

The Kindness of Strangers is the Spock’s album that, to me, is their most consistent, and is usually the album I go to if I want to listen them.
