you seem to be okay with death metal growls and indifferent to black metal rasps but metalcore vocals are like, different from that and i'll freely admit they're one of my least favorites too, a lot of the time they just sound like heavy static to me

It's hard to quantify what harsh vocals I like, but I suppose it's the same for clean vocals right?

Unfortunately, the harsh vocals in BTBAM are not usually backed up with anything really musical. It's usually on top of..harsh music.

I've heard it in a number of songs. I posted that before Bad Habits came on, and that part really jumped out at me.

In fact, my First Impression of another song mentions Schenker.

FIRST Impressions..

I'll leave these open for a bit if anyone wants to guess, but since half of the participants don't even know their own songs, I'll solve it before I go to bed tonight.

It's really hard to make different first impressions when every song is Fast heavy part-harsh vocals-slow part-clean vocals-harsh-clean-heavy part-ending.





The harsh vocal sections in this song are awful.

I love the large amount of clean vocals in this song.

This song is fucked up, which I know could also be said for any other track in the playlist.

One of the leaders in the clubhouse.

Starts out pleasant and goes downhill from there.

A short song with clean vocals.  Doesn’t go anywhere though.

Interesting song that I can’t even link to the early BTBAM that I have heard.

Really nice song with bits that don’t hit you over the head.

The cleans in this were excellent. Fantastic ending.

I couldn’t wait for this to end. That is, until I got to the ending.

Well, that was extremely musical.

Musically this is amazing.

I hear a lot of Dream Theater in this.

This goes from Megadeth to Moby Dick to Helloween..and that’s just the first three minutes.

That was a lot to chew on.

This reminds me of Riot’s Privilege Of Power and then goes all Hot For Teacher
