yeah i was considering a ziltoid song but they're all very weird and mostly pretty long too so idk how well they would've done, planet smasher and hyperdrive were probably the best picks from that one and even then it's the lesser hyperdrive on ziltoid so

Seems like everyone but me loves The Death Of Music.

Regulator/Funeral/Bastard is just so much better.

I've always loved the atmosphere and vocal performance of that song, but the mixing is terrible. It's such a minimalistic song, yet the vocals are buried. All the mix needed was for them to be raised a bit; I went in and raised the upper mids using an EQ (plus some other subtle tweaks) and it sounds so much better to me now.

Anyway, delighted you liked those two songs so much Tim, and yeah with Vampira especially, the features you picked out and seem to have really enjoyed were exactly the things I thought you might like (the huge vocals, the Metallica style riff, etc.).

also fwiw my two favorite devin songs are both off ocean machine, those being funeral and the death of music, but everyone here was collectively smart enough to not send the latter 

The final stretch of Ocean Machine is so good. Bastard is amazing as well.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Ocean Machine in my recount of my own DT experience...brain fart I guess  ...Very much one my favorites in his body of work and yes, the final stretch is pretty spectacular

I don't really care for Haken...

Here are two of my favorite Haken tunes, which you will probably hate 

I own one Haken album and it’s good but I can’t say I’ve had much desire to explore them further.

Anyway now to screw things up with my Haken picks.
