I'm not a fan of TSC and the self-titled is supposedly more of that same sound so I wasn't in any big hurry to listen to it. Maybe eventually I'll get it, but I've got enough of a backlog right now.

Ah. Well, for what it's worth, I hated the few parts of it and The Silent Circus I heard, but recently, I tried it again and found that I really enjoyed it.

Not that it will necessarily work the same way for you, but it might.

Honestly when I get in the mood to listen to them anymore I'll just play the first three tracks from TGM or all of TSC. Will always be my favorite band but it feels like a chore now to listen anything else at the moment as good as everything they make is.
