Can someone explain this?

SUDO stands for Super User Do -  in unix/linux OS command lines, it allows a user to do what normally only the root administrater can do. So say the system admin is trying to help some other user, and needs to use a command that requires admin priveledge, he can use sudo before the command, it'll ask for his password, and then execute the command as if he was logged in as the admin, rather than a standard user. The joke here is that it applies to real life, and by using it you can get other people to do things they wouldn't normally do for you.
