Yeah he makes everything easy to understand and has a good vibe about him even if you didn't like DT or Guitar or understand thoery.

Rick Beato will take care of the rest ! ;D - he's ALL theory and there's just something OFF about him. Like he only does those

Top 10 Spotify songs - exclusively so he can show off all his gear and his ear training skills.

It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

I used to watch his vids but I'm kind of done with the whole 'I know it better than everybody else' attitude.

Haha. First time I'm seeing this vid. WTF! The look of the audience is priceless (with the context behind the video obviously).

Indeed. He acts down to earth but his replies to comments are just YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT.

He's nowhere near as awful as Rob Chapman - but they do both do videos where they've got as much of their own gear in shot as they possibly can.

If anyone can find the G3 "funny voices" one with Satch as Mario, Vai as a helium-voiced alien, and JP as Lord of the Underworld I'd love you forever.

The IM riff sounds like the chorus from LBNF.

At least to my ears.

Do not share the criticisms of Rick Beato.  I like his enthusiasm.

Rick Beato has buckets of enthusiasm but he also has buckets of ego.

Just try and reply anything in the comments and he'll be like :lolpalm: Er No.

Not just talking about me. I've seen it with many comments of people literally just trying to talk about the video.

For example someone might say " F major to F minor is Modal Interchange " and Rick will reply something like " Thats not even remotely Modal Interchange. "

Well.

it is.

That was my first thought as well.

And even so, he was a college professor and a successful producer, so if he says anything technical about music, I'm gonna go with him, or give him the benefit of the doubt.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Touch of irony there, maybe?

I think Beato is rather good myself. Personable and watchable. Often teaches me something new even if I have no idea what he's going on about most of the time. Which is my fault rather than his.

Well, it feels good actually to be right, instead of guessing at people's motivations.  So yeah, I would imagine he does love being right.
