I wish I liked Jellyfish as much as everyone else. They should be right up my alley, but at least the first album didn't do much for me. I think it's mostly his voice and the subject matter of the songs. I just didn't connect with it, apart from I Wanna Stay Home which is amazing.

If Stadler repeats what he just did in round 5, that could be the greatest upset in roulette history.

I appreciate you liking them - I know I do! - but that's a conundrum for me now.  Do I go for the upset, and actually "try", or do I do what I usually do in the last round of these and send Kiss. 

I guess the question you have to ask yourself is whether  Gene, Paul, and Ace are three people who have ever been in your kitchen?  BTW, that Jellyfish playlist was pretty sweet.  Very Dear Hunter-esque.

Tomorrow is no problem at all, only just back from a weekend away so haven't even got through first listens of the ones I've been sent already. The fact that I was away for the weekend does mean I might not quite manage Friday results but I'll do my best.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. It took me around 7 months to work my way through the artists I was sent in my last roulette. But that did total probably something like 500 albums. So actually not that much of an exaggeration.

I dunno, it works out at slightly over two albums a day, which I don't think is a crazy amount. I can listen to music when working (except when I'm in meetings obviously), so I can get through a lot.

Obviously I didn't spend lots of time getting to know most of that music well during that period. That's why I had a good few months of no roulette after that, so that the music I liked from various recent roulettes (and other discoveries of course) I could listen to loads and really get to know better.

Not all, no, but while I'm working on that as a project, it's most of what I listen to (I also check out new releases and some other discoveries too of course).

I also think of children time and spouse time.  Is your wife as passionate about music like you are?  My wife is.  I'm lucky she loves music like I do.  Many at DTF have met her.

My problem is that I need to hear something at least three times before I can form a proper opinion on it.
I think for my roulettes I usually listen to everything at least like, 6 or 7 times before the results get posted.

Albums are even worse I've had albums that took me like a dozen spins before I realized they were actually super good
