LithoJazzoSphere has offered to stand in for Evermind, should I not hear from him. Is everyone cool with that, or would consensus be that we leave Evermind out and allow him to catch up should he want to join at a later date?

I'll join and start from 0.  ;D

Kade, this is the sort of confidence we need! But, how serious are we here?⁷

Well, shit! Looks like Kade has laid down the gauntlet!

Right, there is still no word from Evermind so I'll have to unfortunately assume that he's not joining any time soon. I will say that if he resurfaces down the line, and wants to play catch up, I'll allow it.

In the mean time LithoJazzoSphere and Wolfy both want to join and play catch up. With Evermind out the current number of participants is 12, so this will only take us up to 14. Fuck it, let's go.

Litho and Wolfy, I'll take your first entries as round 5 entries. If you can then send me another 4 entries, and I'll try and blast through them.

Full disclaimer, as I said before, me scoring these 4 entries at a quicker pace means I may not listen to them as many times or give them the time to sink in. This may obviously affect your scores, you cool with that? I mean Kade, you're clearly overconfident, so I don't feel it'll be a problem.

For anyone who may feel disgruntled at me letting people join mid roulette, know they will be at a slight disadvantage.

We all cool?

So I've got Wolfkings entry. Just waiting on Litho and baby daddy, then I'll get first impressions and hangman up  :metal

And he gets Everminds score moving forward?  I'll join and start from 0.  ;D

Now you're gonna wish I'd just accepted Evermind's middling points when all my submissions get 10s.   :P

I have read nothing in the OP, only checking the banned lists.  I just sent four songs in like 5 minutes haha.  And to think I used to procrastinate over these things!  :lol

Ah, the ol' Cyril technique. Although, I think he does take more than 5 minutes  :lol

Edit: sent you a PM Kade, you'll have to resubmit two entries, as they were too damn tasty!

For anyone who may feel disgruntled at me letting people join mid roulette, know they will be at a slight disadvantage.

I think the disadvantage is actually larger on our end than yours.  Everyone else has had weeks, months, well over a year to think about their submissions, listen to and read comments on other entries, and have a feedback loop to improve their own entries each round.  I could get back through the whole thread and cram in listening and reading, but I'm in another roulette, planning for my own upcoming one, working on a discography discussion thread, and I do have something of a life offline too.  But hey, I like the challenge.  It's kind of interesting to plan out a whole batch at once (and be Cyril for a day?), not knowing what's going to stick.  Also fun to send very different stuff from what I'm giving to 425.

Let's get this going...

This feels way more indie than I expected, it's all in the vocals.

Ariich - Haunting and brutal, with extra flourishes, fucking sign me up.

Such a cool sound, with so much going on. It craves to be listened to on a good pair of headphones, especially the beginning.

The guitar work really draws my ear in this, I've come to expect nothing less from you.

TAC - I like your dedication to the cause.

Cyril - Is this a classic [insert participant] submission? Sounds weird but interesting but also a little unnerving.

Not sold on these vocals but the song shreds.

Ohhhh something I might be able to singalong to. The whole package is really cool but the vocals really help propel it.

Sacul - Well this was extremely bold, but I guess you already knew that. It's part exactly what I expected, and part nothing like what I expected. Bravo.

HOF - Vocally, this is like the meeting of two bands that I really quite like. Musically it strikes me as something that will grow on me nicely.

Why do I feel like I'm in an anime? Fuck, this is some great [insert genre].

Not exactly what I was expecting but definitely growing potential.

This mixes two things I really like, in the style of a band I love. You could be onto something here.

This ticks so many boxes for me but is lacking in something I can't quite put my finger on.

Impressions before hangman, curious.  Totally clueless on what mine might be without knowing what else is in this pool (just a few it's certainly not).  A few definitely seem targeted at people who are roulette veterans, since I'm expecting you don't really know me yet from my normal posts.

I know you love to really analyse everything  :lol which is in no way a criticism. I feel I've got a bit of a grasp on your tastes to be fair.

I'll get hangman up and running as well, so maybe you can dip back in with a guess later.

Idk this one? A common complaint for my band, though I don't feel like the vocals are really a focus at all, at least on the song I sent.
