And between that and wolfking's, it sends me back into over-analysis mode, as it broaches a topic I'd already been pondering the last couple months. Is it lazy to send the same submissions in different roulettes, or do I want to do it myself to see what different people think of more arcane music I enjoy?
I've definitely participated in roulettes where there have been songs I've sent to multiple different hosts, but also ones where I've sent shot I would never normally send. For me, it totally depends on the host. The first roulette I participated in, I definitely listened to most other people's submissions, but now I barely do. I only do if something sounds particularly great, or weird, or intriguing etc. I remember the first one I was in Cyril sent a song from Pelagial by The Ocean, man that blew me away and has become one of my favourite albums. It was probably a better song than I've been sent in my own roulettes!
Whoa, this is super active!
Back to first impressions...Is mine one of these:
This feels way more indie than I expected, it's all in the vocals.
Not sold on these vocals but the song shreds.
Or (depending on how you feel about the vocals, clearly )
Ohhhh something I might be able to singalong to. The whole package is really cool but the vocals really help propel it.
Sorry dude, totally wrong on all counts
