I have become addicted to the new CD from Nothing in Writing (ex-Odd Logic)

Sean from Odd Logic felt that that project was heading in a slightly more Opeth direction and decided that he wanted a different project for his more Enchant/King’s X/Kansas type of influences. I think he hit it out of the park. That CD is album of the year material for me. All 10 songs are awesome and I’ve been spinning it in the car for weeks.

I’m seriously toying with the idea of buying copies for up to five people on this forum with the only stipulation that they promise to listen to it at least five times and if they love it they need to buy one copy for someone else.

I honestly think it’s criminal that Sean Thompson has put out 9 albums of material…that actually seem to get some traction in prog rock circles…and yet still has never been signed to any label for a release.

Everytime I listen to albums like this I realise I should be listening to more Britpop.

Also Jarvis Cocker is really channelling some Bowie and Roger Waters here.

Oh hell yess! one million percent agree! Odd Logic is such an amazing band/project with barely any mention.

Yeah, I think I'll have to get the CD of this too.  Seems difficult to get over here for a decent price though.

The lyrics are pretty fucked up, but it just works.  It's incredible.

Another masterpiece! Her second best album after Blue if Hejira doesn’t turn out to be better (still need to listen to that one).

Black Flag's earlier stuff with Rollins is my favorite but I really love this album! To my ears if Voi Vod did a punk album it would sound like this. Bottom line, I love every one of their albums.

The 6:00 mark of Tear Down This Holy Mountain reminds me of JP's solo in Lines In The Sand.

Just thinking about it, I can totally hear that.

Jeez, gonna cost me a pretty penny to get a CD version over here.

Yep but this is an import from US Amazon.  With shipping will cost around 50 bucks!  :lol

I use Mp3va where albums cost fuck all, so I've got it.

I'd buy it digital from their bandcamp to support them anyway but main reason I'd like the CD is to listen without the gaps between songs.  I'll keep searching.

How much is shipping from their bandcamp?

Good question.  I'll have a look tonight.  I saw the CD is almost the same as buying digital so might be an option.

Actually, I picked up the newest Stortregn from their bandcamp last year and got quick shipping from I think around 27 bucks.  Was solid.

Tried it…not my cup o tea. About the only harsh vocal band I listen to anymore is BTBAM. (And I thought they improved the more they mixed up clean with the harsh vocals)
