It's a rocky ride for sure. But some GREAT songs throughout.

I have to check out Ardarith...have no idea who they are, but your previous description made me curious.

I'm actually listening to An Abstract Illusion as we speak, again...great stuff. There is a moment in the (almost) instrumental Blomsterkrans, just past 3:45, that's pure beauty. Simple and beautiful.

As for the other two...we have discussed previously...great albums...

The Ardarith is a great album. There's only two songs on Spotify, but the whole album is on Bandcamp. I posted that link and the link to the website in my previous post.

It was basically all written and composed by one guy, but in Avantasia style, it's brought to life by a great band of musicians and 5 vocalists with all distinct parts.

I listened to the two singles yesterday after reading your post. Pretty good stuff.

Incidentally...Tim, as we were discussing Trial earlier, I have found this:

The album is not on streaming platforms, but this Bandcamp page for the cassette (!!) version has it:

I gave it a background listen, and it's very interesting...I hear influences from early Fates Warning and other 80s proto-prog. Sounds cool (the last song, Restless Blood, is VERY good, although the singer's wailing at the very end is maybe a bit much

I've actually never given it a listen. On it now...yeah, the early Fates is a good call. Motherless is closer to this than it is to Feed The Fire.

I see Andy Laroque produced.

Feed The Fire features a new vocalist. A bit more refined, obviously, as is their music. Vessel is excellent, and like I said, Motherless is one of the most interesting albums I've heard.

I originally was looking up a Digimon song called Butter-fly and found a live video of the singer performing the song at Animelo Summer 2014. I then saw the next link and clicked it, which was an entirely different video from the singer of the band Boowy. It was a live video of some Boowy songs including Dreamin'. I really enjoyed that song and thought it was neat how the live audience was so excited to hear the song.

I decided to check out the actual album, and it is not that bad. It's some good 80's style rock (Bowie-esque) with a bit of Swing and Funk.
