Outside Edge - More Edge

So.. the band is called Outside Edge, and they released an album called....More Edge? :lol :lol
I don't know why, but that makes me laugh.

Well.....they're not gonna call their album Less Edge, are they?  ;D

I revisited the latest Svalbard and Elder after not listening for a while and they are both as good as i remember.

New Kreator has slowly been creeping up my list for the year, it's that fucking good.

New Russian Circles is OK, but needs a few more listens. The new Spirit Adrift is a covers album (plus two new original songs) but it really gives you that old school metal hit and that's no bad thing, really enjoyable.

Lastly is a classic that I'm not ashamed of saying I love  :heart

Just adding two more. So today I learned that Karl Sanders (of Nile fame) has released solo albums. This is his newest, that came out this year. It's pretty atmospheric and has those Egyptian vibes you'd expect, mixed with some other sounds (which included Spanish style guitar and Japanese influences). It's pretty cool, so will be checking out his two other solo releases.

Second is a death metal classic. I've been playing a lot of the classics the last year or so, this just gets better every time.

Next up will be more Kreator I think, Hate Über Alles got me in the mood.

So I just went to pick up a chair that my wife ordered. Whilst there (it's a huge antiques dealer) I remembered they had a vinyl section. Thought I'd have a quick look and this album cover jumped out at me...

Never heard of the band (terrible name  :lol ) but I felt the urge to pick it up. I realised I didn't have my wallet with me so I've stuck it on Spotify on my way home. It was dirt cheap so might go back and get it. The first track kicked ass to be fair but not sure on these ballads.

Come at me fogeys! I'm sure there will be at least one of you that has a hard on for this record!

Can we take bets on how long it'll take Tim to post photos of him seeing these guys in the 80s  :rollin

Pretty Maids are pretty spotty but this is pretty good album.  I like more their later stuff which is a bit heavier.  I have this album on CD though.

This was always promoted as their "classic" of the era to me but I was disappointed when I got it.  Jump The Gun is a much stronger album IMO.

Well this is surprisingly good. Especially considering I kinda hated the previous album. Generic melodeath but still enjoyable.

I'll definitely sample some of their later stuff, at the very least.
