What do you think of this album? I’ve always thought it wasn’t as bad a people said. It’s different for sure. But if you go into it knowing that, and open to it, it’s not bad. That’s just me though.

I thought it was pretty terrible.  My first thought is that it's the worst album I've ever heard by a well-regarded band/artist.  I will never spin this one again.

Been digging deep into this one since seeing a good portion of it live last week, fucking masterpiece.

Just given this another listen and it's definitely got potential for me but some bits kill my enjoyment somewhat. Songs like Called Home have real Oldpeth vibes and I really dig that. I also like the majority of harsh vocals, on songs like Only Loss, however, that death metal style of vocal on Blight (among other tracks) is not my favourite type of harsh vocal, far from it.

I'll probably give it another go before the year is out as there are some bits I love.

Not bad at all. Feeling a thrash kick coming on at the moment as I've been listening to classic Metallica/Slayer.

Also, I love how synonymous Ed Repka and thrash metal are

I'm kind of picky about hardcore-derived bands, but this one is pretty fun.  A song randomly came on from it after listening to something else and it was intriguing enough that I just had to check the whole thing out, and it's quite enjoyable. 

Creed - Weathered

I think Creed is undeserving of the "worst band in the world" title they sometimes receive if someone picks an alternate target rather than Nickelback.  And I still enjoy the occasional song ("Bullets" and "Say I" for example) and nostalgia since they were still considered kind of "cool" when I first started listening to them.  But nowadays I just can't listen to them for an extended period knowing that Tremonti did much more interesting things with Alter Bridge and his solo project.

I haven't heard tremontis solo work but I'd argue that the first three creed albums are better than anything alter bridge has done aside from their debut. I think alter bridges work has gotten progressively worse with every release.

Currently spinning Toehider - What Kind Of Creature Am I?

I got a song on my roulette that I loved so I'm checking the rest the album and it kind of sucks. It's really manic and all over the place. I'm only halfway through so maybe it picks up towards the end.
