One of the albums I listened to the most in 2016. Hadn't revisited it in a while. Great stuff, melodic and thrashy at the same time.

I enjoy it more than I did in 2016.  I'm not a musician at all, so I don't have a perfect explanation.  But to my ears, Worship Music had some songs that seemed to be tuned differently or lower.  That allowed Joey to sing lower at times, or more aggressive.

On For All Kings, Joey's vocal melodies aren't as dynamic - he always sounds like he's singing a bit too high, making all of the songs sound the same to me.  That being said, there are some awesome songs on the record - Blood Eagle Wings is so kickass, especially with the heavy middle section.

Been awhile since I saw an opening band and then went and got their album after.... but this is a bit different for my normal tastes and am enjoying it:

That early 80's bridge between Alice's last 70's album (Lace & Whiskey) and his 1986 comeback (Constrictor) is quite an interesting run. Filled with landmines, but lots of great stuff spread throughout.

For my taste, it's better than Blue Lightning; it's more akin to Spellbound and World On Fire.  And yes, unfortunately, he is still singing.  He's running a low budget operation.  His live band isn't good.  It's probably some guys from Florida who work cheap.  By comparison, I've seen Tony MacAlpine play to smaller audiences and he always shares the stage with excellent musicians.
